2011 Denver Broncos Cheerleader Auditions begin Sunday April 3, 2011!

Letter from Teresa Shear, Director of Cheerleaders:

Yes, it is that time of year again! Auditions are right around the corner and I wanted to fill everyone in on the details for 2011 as well as dates, times, workshops and everything you will need to know to prepare you to have the best audition possible.

For 2011, the audition will select 26 members to the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and select 10 women to the Denver Outlaws Dance Team. The Outlaws Dance Team is open to women ages 18 and up. Both teams will be selected from the finalists from the audition process. The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders will only select women 21 and up by the deadlines listed on the audition forms (PDF).

The process will be very similar to last season's audition. Our preliminary round will consist of a short combination (4 eight counts) of basic dance technique. A turn, a leap, right and left kicks and simple choreography will be taught on the spot and participants will perform that combination for the judges in groups of three. After all participants have performed, 100 participants will be selected to move on that day to the Semi-Finals.

During the Semi-Final round, the participants will be taught a routine very similar to routines performed on game day by the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders. Again, the choreography will be taught on the spot and the semi-finalists will perform in groups of 3 for our panel of judges. The field will be narrowed down to 60-70 women who will be our finalists for both the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and the Denver Outlaws.

The biggest change for 2011 is that workshops will only last one week instead of two weeks. Finalists will be evaluated over the next week in a series of workshops on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Finalists will be interviewed, tested on football knowledge, judged on work ethic during rehearsals and observed on interaction with the other finalists during the process.

We are excited to once again open up our final night of Auditions to the public. Last year we hosted a sold out crowd of 500 and this year we expect the turn out to be even larger so buy your tickets early. The evening is full of entertainment, from the opening group number, to the beautiful kickline sequence, solos by the finalists, performances in groups of 3 on more technical choreography, and a final performance by the new 2011 Denver Broncos Cheerleaders. It is a fun night for all ages!

Belles Performance Team Pre-Audition Workshop & Auditions

The Belles are excited to announce their 2008 Spring Auditions. The BPT is the only adult team in Colorado to hold auditions twice every year.

The Belles Performance Team is Colorado’s ONLY independent professional dance team for adult women. Audition for the Belles organization today and learn what it takes to be a successful professional level cheerleader and/or dancer.

Auditioners must be women ages 18 and older, have a high school diploma, have a flexible schedule with open evenings and weekends, have reliable transportation, and be physically fit. Must be able to commit to a 6 month season, April - September 2008. Due to the athletic nature of participation, selected members must have their own health insurance.

Auditions to join the BPT will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, April 5, 2008 at their sponsor 24 Hour Fitness, club location at the corner of Colorado and Alameda in Denver. There will also be a pre-audition workshop held Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 8 pm, same location. Interested applicants must pre-register to attend both the workshop and auditions.

Denver Broncos Cheerleaders Workshop and Auditions

For those of you interested in getting that extra "edge" before Auditions, the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders offer a one day Audition Workshop. The workshop not only focuses on choreography, but gives you insider tips on everything you need to know at auditions, including what to expect at preliminaries, what to wear, and tips for the finalist workshop and interviews. The 2008 Audition Workshop will take place on Saturday, March 8th from 9:00am to 12:00 noon.

BPT Pre-Audition Workshop

Pre-Audition Workshop, Tuesday, September 25th from 8 - 10 pm to be held at Better Bodies Cardio and Fitness Center located at 7777 W. Jewell Ave, the corner of Wadsworth Avenue and Jewell Avenue, in Lakewood, Colorado. All audition material will be taught this evening, 3 days to practice, no surprises at Auditions, Saturday, September 29th, registration at 11:30 am, Audition starts promptly at Noon.



The Pre-Audition Workshop format will be as follows:

Denver Nuggets Dancers Pre-Audition Workshop

Date: Thursday, June 21st

Are you or someone you know interested in auditioning to become a Denver Nuggets Dancer?

In addition to performing at all of the Nuggets home games, the Denver Nuggets Dancers also:

The fee for the class is $45.00 per applicant (please see registration form). Please wear comfortable dance clothes and shoes (the audition attire is NOT required for this class). Bring a pen and paper.
